About Our Client
One of Australia's oldest management consulting firms is actively seeking a new business development professional for a new product/solution launch. This business offers off the shelf and customised consulting solutions covering a range of business topics including legal advice, OH&S, business consulting and L&D (to name a few). With a large focus and specialisation on the Australian SME business community their services also extend to the Enterprise marketplace. Working across all industry verticals this business has a genuine drive and focus on developing local Australian businesses to ensure they continue to grow and succeed.
As an autonomous BDM you will be given all the tools you require whilst being guided by a 'hands off approach manager. The major focus for the first 12 months will be on education and pipeline management as you introduce a new product/solution to the marketplace. During this time you will also be expected to sell and will work towards a number of key metrics and KPI's. This role will involve face-to-face interaction with clients and also an element of selling over the phone. This is a fairly straight forward sell whereby you will interact daily with local businesses and their decision makers. The average lead time for a sale can be between 3-6 months.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will offer the following
- Experience selling to SME businesses in the NSW marketplace
- Experience selling a solution (not a physical product)
- Demonstrated adaptability (i.e. selling to various decision makers)
- Self motivation, drive and ability to work autonomously
