About Our Client
Michael Page's client is a large government entity with a considerable, complex and highly varied spend. This role is the result of growth due to increased requirements from the organisation's stakeholders and a sign of the team's success in delivering excellent levels of service to its internal customers.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the role is responsible for leading sourcing and tender processes on behalf of the organisation's various business units and stakeholders, with the aim of ensuring maximum levels of service and value for money is obtained from suppliers. The role will be responsible for a large range of indirect and direct categories ranging from tens of thousands of dollars to multi-million dollar projects.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will demonstrate a proven track record of success within procurement across a range of category areas and show an ability to work autonomously to drive outcomes and deliver value.
Experience within public sector procurement will be highly regarded but is not required. Instead, the organisation is looking for a candidates with a proactive approach and the ability to work at a high pace and manage a large range of projects concurrently.
What's on Offer
A six month role with the possibility to extend or become permanent.
Daily rate commensurate with experience, circa $550 to $625 per day + Super.
