Job Description
As the account manager, you will be required to
-
Build relationships within all layers of Enterprise accounts
-
Create and run comprehensive account strategies.
-
Demonstrate a complete approach to business operations (forecast, weekly commit, pipeline development).

Display leadership through sharing of knowledge/skills and act as a source of expertise for others.

Partner effectively with internal and external parties to build solutions
-
Actively create new business opportunities.

Work independently to meet agreed targets, develops sales plans for own accounts in line with company strategy
The Successful Applicant
- Understanding of TCP/IP and LAN/WAN/certifications in the same field would be advantageous
- A degree in a business or technical discipline or equivalent and 5+ years account management experience in a fast-growth, high technology company.
- Must have experience handling multi-million $$ quotas.
- Strong selling skills in large accounts as well as sound knowledge and experience in selling complex IT solutions.
- Understanding of large business organizations and their buying cycles is preferred.
- Experience selling in a high technology and networking industry and knowledge of LAN and/or WAN networks is preferred as well as experience in selling TCP/IP or SNA networking products.
- Knowledge of Ethernet, X.25, Token Ring, FDDI, IPX and other protocols is desired.
- Momentum sustaining accounts
- Mid ? Large SP accounts
- Relationship management skills
- Excellent communication/presentation/negotiation skills
- Working knowledge of product & solutions
- Understanding of TCP/IP and LAN/WAN/certifications in the same field would be advantageous
