About Our Client

Our client is a leading Australian firm operating in the Energy industry. With increased production, the finance team is in need of an additional Assistant Accountant to support the increased growth.

Job Description

As the Assistant Accountant, reporting to the Financial Services Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of Journals
• Processing of Time Sheets
• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
• Assisting with the Balance sheet reconciliation
• Assisting in ad-hoc Analysis

The Successful Applicant

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably from a commercial environment with hands on experience;
• Ability to work well within a team;
• Tertiary Degree in Accounting or working toward;
• Experience using a large payroll system such as Oracle, SAP or JD Edwards is preferred but not essential.
