Our client has the vision to become a recognized worldwide leader in luxury designer jewelry and lifestyle accessories. With strong commitment to growth, they are now seeking a dynamic and creative Business Development Director to join their expanding team in Tokyo.
Job Description
Reporting to the GM, based in Europe, you will take full responsibility for the commercial performance for our clients range of high end jewelry and accessory products in the Asia region. You will also develop the business for two brands in the SE Asian region. Your role with entail establishing and implementing sales and distributions strategies, as well as engaging in high level discussions with leading luxury retailers in the region. In addition you will also define and execute regional brand marketing strategies with distributors, and also act as the bridge between global HQ and the region. Frequent travel maybe required
The Successful Applicant
Degree qualified, you should have 6+ years of consumer products sales experience, ideally with some regional and channel or distribution sales experience. Possessing high levels of commercial acumen, you have strong negotiation skills, are entrepreneurial and have creative flair. Exposure to the luxury industry will be highly regarded. You must be highly independent and have high levels of motivation and self-drive. Fluency in English and Japanese language is essential, knowledge of other languages is also advantageous.
