Our client is an outstanding FMCG manufacturer. With a strong portfolio of brands, they are undoubtedly market leaders within their industry. In line with their current rapid growth there is a need for a Contract EH&S supervisor in their team.

Job Description

Reporting to the Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

Maintaining an effective Risk Management process in the areas of EH&S, which includes

  • Environmental and OH&S Hazard registers
  • Emergency Planning & Control
  • EH&S Risk Assessments
  • Other Business Risks, identified by internal / external audits.

Managing the EH&S aspects of Trade Waste management

Complying with statutory requirements and internal EH&S policies & procedures

Maintaining an integrated, effective Corrective Action process onsite, which includes

  • EH&S Accident/ Incident investigations
  • EH&S Improvement Requests

Maintaining effective EH&S training schedules

  • Operational / procedural
  • Toolbox talks / refresher training

The Successful Applicant

This role will suit a candidate that thoroughly enjoys the day to day activities associated with the EH&S of a busy manufacturing plant, this role is more about hands on operations rather than system implementation. The successful candidate will have:

  • EH&S experience from an FMCG environment
  • Significant communication and influencing skills, with management and shop floor
  • Knowledge and experience with ISO &/or Safety Management systems
  • Knowledge and experience with relevant Environmental & Workplace Health & Safety Legislation and Australian Standards
