About Our Client
A leading global organisation that researches and manufactures their own products, supplying national and international clients. Our client is continuously developing their business and consequently a new position exists for an electrical engineer to join their team and assist with improvement projects and system upgrades.

Job Description

As an electrical engineering you will be focusing on various process improvement projects. This will involve:

• Implement appropriate solutions, ensuring a continuous improvement approach to process efficiency, safety and environmental concerns.
• Review and redesign existing PLC and SCADA control systems.
• GMP documentation and validation.
• Coordinating with other engineers on electrical upgrades and programming modifications.
• Liaise with all stakeholders to plan and ensure completion of projects.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant should be capable of understanding the requirements of electrical control systems and will ideally have:

• A tertiary engineering qualification and a strong relevant electrical project experience of 3-5 years.
• Experience in PLC and SCADA system programming using S7 on Siemens PLC’s and Wonderware.
• A thorough understanding of GMP principles and document development.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCad or Excel for the preparation and modification of Power and control system schematics, PLC input/output diagrams, Cable schedules and Bills of equipment and material.
• Excellent project management skills for control system upgrades.

Exposure to automated vision systems and SQL systems would be highly desirable.
