About Our Client
Our client is a global blue chip Food and Beverage manufacturer based in Brisbane. With a strong portfolio of brands, they are undoubtedly market leaders within their industry. In line with their current rapid growth there is a need for a Quality Assurance Technician on contract within their team.

Job Description

Reporting to the Quality & Food Safety Officer, you will be responsible for developing and managing the quality systems and culture within the manufacturing business unit. The role includes

  • Leading the quality and food safety agenda within the manufacturing business unit
  • Driving compliance to meet all regulatory, customer and company requirements
  • Monitoring the inputs and outputs within the manufacturing process to ensure process capability and conformance to national specifications
  • Manage the quality of incoming raw material by driving continuous improvement with suppliers
  • Developing initiatives to reduce customer complaints
  • Coordinate the implementation of New Products and Promotional activities affecting the manufacturing business unit
  • Drive GMP, Quality systems, cleaning and sanitation programmes
  • Monitor and continually improve plant hygiene and sanitation systems and monitor relevant external suppliers
  • Execute the water treatment programs & conduct necessary laboratory testing while driving improvement in these area

The Successful Applicant

This role will suit a candidate that thoroughly enjoys the day to day activities associated with Quality Assurance of a busy manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will have:

  • Diploma level qualifications in Quality Assurance or equivalent discipline
  • 2 - 3 years experience in quality assurance roles. In the absence of Diploma level qualification, 4-5 years of quality assurance role in Food and Beverage industry is required
  • Exposure to SPC or similar process quality capability/methodology
  • Exposure to project/change management
  • A team player
  • Willing to work in shifts (4am - 4pm)
