Job Description

As Engineering and Maintenance Planning Superintendent, you will be expected to utilise your depth of experience and skills in creating and executing a maintenance strategy across a significant operating portfolio of both mobile and fixed assets. Leading a team of 15 to 20 personnel (reliability, planning), you will excel in optimising individual and team performances through the development of staff mentoring, training and succession planning programs.

Please note - this role if a 5/2 or 8/6 FIFO role Ex Perth.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this role, it is crucial that you possess the following qualifications and skill sets;

  • You will possess a degree qualification within an engineering discipline, ideally within a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline.
  • You will have a minimum of 10 years leadership experience within a mining operational maintenance / engineering department.
  • You will have a successful track record in driving mining equipment performance (mobile & fixed) and availability through the adoption of innovative maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives, ideally within a fast paced and high performance mining operation.
  • You will have a thorough understanding of reliability engineering practices and tools, coupled with a detailed knowledge of maintenance planning techniques and technologies.
  • You will have the ability to create and manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets and the commercial savvy required to achieve the best possible outcomes at the lowest possible cost.
  • Last but not least, you will have a full appreciation and understanding of Australian safety and employment legislative requirements, and have the ability to achieve best practices in safety and risk management.
