About Our Client
A national logistics business based in the Western suburbs.
Job Description
• To prepare and control budgets for Site Services, reporting on repairs and maintenance budget spends.
• Responsibility for the efficient running of the department by ensuring that raised maintenance tickets are dealt with in a timely manner, ensuring engineering change authorizations are completed prior to work being carried out and that permit to work procedures are followed.
• Ensure that all personnel obtain appropriate training (e.g. manual handling, Fire system etc) and that their training records are up to date.
• Identify ways of reducing costs and improving efficiency.
• Assume responsibility for any major project identified by the Engineering Manager.
• To identify, purchase and implement systems to improve reliability and productivity within all areas of production.
• Ensure that programmes of preventative maintenance are developed, implemented and monitored.
• Ensure departmental activities meet Company requirements for quality management, EHS, external legislation and general duty of care.
The Successful Applicant
Ideally the chosen candidate will be Degree Qualified and hold a trade certificate.
Minimum 5 years experience as a Facilities Manager.
Experience within a logistics warehouse will be advantageous.
Good communication skills are essential.
What's On Offer
