Job Description

• The role requires the Consultant to be able to drive engagements including technical and business requirements, architectural standards development, technical specifications development and solution design for complex converged communications projects.
• The role also requires the consultant to be able to develop and respond to RFP’s and RFI’s.
• The role requires strong technical background in IP Communications solutions and skills in project management.
• The consultant must have demonstrated experience of working on large-scale projects in both design and implementation roles, be passionate about emerging technology and have a capacity to understand, gather and document business requirements.
• The consultant will be responsible for all design and solution delivery aspects of their projects and will be required to engage with other business groups, partners, suppliers and third parties to define the overall IP communications architecture, detailed designs and implementation plans.
• The consultant must experience of creating documentation for all phases of a project including SoR, SoW, PMP, HLD, LLD and test plans.

The Successful Applicant

• The role requires design experience across an extensive range of technology areas and will require an individual who is capable of understanding complex IP Communications environments.
• Cisco CCIE qualification or equivalent experience.
• Industry recognised security certifications such as CISSP and GIAC
• Experience deploying and managing Cisco IPC applications including CallManager, Unity, IPCC and Meeting Place in large complex environments.
• Experience of third party IPC applications such as ARC, Citrix, Berbee and Nice IP Voice-Recording are required
• Experience with IOS routers and switches including ISR’s and Catalyst 35XX, 37XX and 6500.
• Understanding of security challenges of IPC deployments in security sensitive environments.
• Experience of managing carrier services, and voice and data cabling systems are essential.
• Content Switching technologies such as SLB and GSLB
• Content delivery technologies using ACNS and IPTV
• An in-depth understanding of voice protocols is required including MGCP, SIP and H323
• Experience of deploying IP Video Conferencing including MCU and H320 gateways configuration.
• Microsoft Live Communication Server experience of deployment or integration into third-party systems.
