Job Description

  • Providing services related to transaction recording and reporting, settlement, control, custody management and accounting services for all Loan and Equity investment transactions.
  • Treasury Borrowings and Client Risk Management activities.
  • Providing operational support for the development of new business initiatives and products, and play a key role in the review and development of corporate business processes and systems that are supported by the unit.
  • Monitor accounting implementation of loan, equity and guarantee transactions. You will work closely with investment officers, controllers and other CFO staff to determine appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions.
  • Advising investment officers on transaction structures and potential consolidation issues. In addition, you will implement accounting policies, review investments to identify control and consolidation requirements, and contribute to compliance audits.
  • This position will be based in Washington, D.C.

The Successful Applicant

  • A strong background in Accounting and/or Finance, preferably with CPA, ACA or an equivalent certification will be essential to your success in this role.
  • As this will be a vital role in our client's business, candidates with knowledge of internal control, governance systems and experience working in a major banking and/or accounting firm are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of IFRS (at least IFRS 32 and 39), knowledge of US GAAP a plus, particularly FIN 46R (VIE, consolidation)
  • Knowledge of accounting systems and general ledgers (SAP preferred); experience with ACBS (Advanced commercial banking system), SAP or SUMMIT a plus
