An opportunity exists to join a privately owned, successful and growing business. Our client is involved in a diverse group of investments ranging from residential & commercial property development to investments within the Australian thoroughbred horse racing industry.
Job Description
Reporting to the Director and the Company Accountant, you will be accountable for a variety of tasks including assisting with month-end reporting, debtor and creditor processing and account reconciliations for 10 separate entities. Additionally, you will have responsibility for weekly cash management, BAS and PAYG statement preparation and the regular maintenance of investment files and cash receipts. Given that the role is part of a small team you will also be responsible for ad hoc office administration duties.
The Successful Applicant
You will be a corporately presented individual with either accounting or bookkeeping experience. You will have a thorough understanding of basic accounting concepts and a genuine interest in accounts. Experience with ACCPAC is favorable and you will also have intermediate MS Excel skills. Strong administrative and organizational skills are paramount, along with good attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
