About Our Client
Is a market leading engineering business based within 20km of Melbourne's CBD.

Job Description

To design, plan, implement and supervise the manufacturing process to ensure compliant and smooth flow of duties with internal key relationships.

· Review processes and recommend optimum layout and process for production / assembly

· Research plant and equipment options to bring about assembly efficiency and safety improvements

· Build a database of assembly standards to assist with capacity planning and product scheduling

· Establish sound communication links with the Engineering group to open the way for influencing design toward favourable production and assembly outcomes

· Review engineering releases for assembly to determine how the parts can be assembled efficiently, where in the facility they should be assembled and what tools will be required.

· Identify safety risks and work to implement change to eliminate the risk where possible

· Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance program

· Participate in the preparation of capital expenditure planning

· Identify suitable contractors to carry out maintenance, have works quoted and approved and then manage the contractors on site to ensure all safety and security requirements are met.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent
• Substantial experience in similar positions, preferably in the manufacturing of capital equipment
• Well rounded business acumen
• Strong, constructive leadership skills
• Customer focused
• Communication, negotiation and influencing skills

What's On Offer

$100,000 to $130,000 package.
