About Our Client
Our client is a very reputable market leader in the industrial automation space and was established over fifteen years ago. Offering their clients innovative solutions and technologies, along with commercially savvy employees, they are going from strength to strength globally. They service a variety of sectors from Mining and Resources to the Oil and Gas industry. Due to the massive growth plans in these industries, they are seeking a new Account Manager to join their Queensland team to focus on their mining customers.

Job Description
This role will be responsible for looking after the Brisbane client base, working across the broad product range allowing the successful candidate to target a variety of markets with a heavy focus on the Mining sector. This position will have a leaning toward the commercial and account strategy development of the business whilst hanging a heavy involvement with the global sales process. Reporting to the Queensland State Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining their existing client base as well as building and developing new business targeting the corporate mining houses in the CBD and offering them technical solutions. You will be required to travel and visit some of the mine sites one week out of the month to make sure you build rapport with some of the stakeholders on site, and to maintain a high level of customer service dealing with any customer complaints or issues.

The Successful Applicant

A professional and commercial approach is needed as well as a good understanding of the industrial Queensland market. This is an integral part of their business supporting the Queensland State Manager. You will also possess the following skills / attributes :

  • 5+ years in Industrial Sales (preferably selling to the Mining industry)
  • Electrical Trade Qualified / Automation background is essential
  • Sound negotiation and presentation skills
  • Territory management experience
  • Experience selling and presenting at a high corporate level environment
