About Our Client
Our client, a leader in the Finance / Banking sector seeks an experienced SOE / Platform Packager to implement the desktop and server environments and maintain high levels of availability for systems and applications.
Job Description
In the role you will have an active part in:
- The implementation of packaging, scripting and automation of software deployment
- Track requests and changes through task management and change control system (Remedy - Quest)
- Develop and maintain installation, configuration and maintenance policies and standards
- Advise other technical and project teams in regard to packaging options
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions within the organisation
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain the environment
The Successful Applicant
Ideally you have the following skills and experience:
- 5+ years experience implementing & managing application packaging and delivery
- Experience with Altiris Deployment Server (Mandatory)
- OS unattended installation- delivery and design
- MSI, InstallShield Admin Studio
- Windows registry – in depth knowledge
- VB Script, Windows Shell Scripting, Windows Scripting Host
- Softgrid Sequencing experience (Advantageous)
