This Leading Contractor, specialising in utility infrastructure engineering, is rapidly expanding. Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Project Manager, capable of supervising $10MIL projects throughout Australia. You will be working within a down to earth, friendly organisation offering career progression and professional development.

Job Description

In addition to reporting into the Commercial Manager the Quantity Surveyor will carry out the following duties,

  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including Bills of Quantities
  • Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work
  • Assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
  • Performing risk and value management and cost control;
  • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Preparing and analysing costings for tenders;
  • Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
  • Valuing completed work and arranging payments;

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Quantity Surveying and be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Professional qualifications such as a degree and MRICS or AIQS would be an advantage
  • Proven Track record working on projects involving earthworks and pipeline installation
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of pricing structures
  • Strong written communication skills in respect of preparing technical reports
  • Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
  • Independent Self Starter
  • Computer Literate
