Job Description
The Principal Metallurgist will be responsible for the operating and commissioning of mineral separation plants and concentrators; operational cost control and supervision of staff members and mineral sands production and processing. The Principal Metallurgist role is critical in developing, delivering and improving the medium and long-term plan for the Victorian Operations. The ability of the incumbent to meet deadlines and produce accurate and meaningful physical information for Processing and the relevant Project Teams will have a significant impact on the overall performance of the Processing Group and Victorian Operations.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful as the Principal Metallurgist the candidate will hold a relevant tertiary degree; knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act; have a broad understanding of mining and minerals processing. You will have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with cost control and scheduling focus.
