About Our Client
Our client is one of the leading engineering and development consultancies in the world. They provide multidisciplinary consulting services in engineering, project management, environmental science and development activities and have been engaged in assignments throughout the world for 30 years. They have provided engineering services both within Australia and overseas, including ventilation and subsidence studies, to a number of large underground chambers and approximately 4km of vertical and sloping shafts, adding to their extensive tunneling experience.
Job Description
Our client is looking for a Principal Tunneling Engineer to work within their Water and Environment division. This role holds the responsibilities relating to all elements of tunnel work including; associated infrastructure and structural design; supervision/management of tunnel engineers, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers; and ensure all projects are completed on time and on budget while meeting all industry technical standard, QA/EMS and OH&S requirements.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in the Principal Tunneling Engineer role, the candidate will hold a tertiary degree in engineering or relevant discipline. An analytical approach to the the individual's technical competence is essential.
