Our Client has an impressive clientèle and continues to win landmark Construction Projects throughout Australia. Rapid expansion has led to an opening for a Quantity Surveyor within their Western Sydney office.

Job Description

In addition to reporting into the Project Director your role will include , but not be limited to the following duties,

  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including Bills of Quantities
  • Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work
  • Assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
  • Performing risk and value management and cost control;
  • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Preparing and analysing costings for tenders;
  • Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
  • Valuing completed work and arranging payments;

The Successful Applicant

Aside from a solid background in Quantity surveying you will have the following attributes;

  • Qualifications to degree level
  • Professional qualifications such as MRICS or AIQS would be an advantage
  • Proven Track record working on Civil and Building Construction Projects
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of pricing structures
  • Strong written communication skills in respect of preparing technical reports
  • Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
  • Independent Self Starter
  • Computer Literate
