Job Description
Reporting to both the Regional MD and Group FD you will be key member of the regional senior management team, responsible for all financial aspects of a full-service, multi-site business, as well as making a significant contribution to its overall leadership and strategic direction. In particular you will:
? Provide key financial advice to the leadership team around strategic and commercial decisions
? Lead, coach and develop teams within finance, IT and facilities.
? Provide a consistent, objective and balanced influence over the business
? Ensure meaningful, accurate and timely financial and management reports are delivered to the leadership team and to Group.
? Ensuring appropriate financial and commercial controls are in place
? Ensuring compliance with Financial/Accounting principles, procedures and practices. ? Managing treasury operations, cash balances, and working capital
? Ensuring that the tax affairs of the Company are managed efficiently and tight control is maintained over overhead expenditure
? Ensuring that the profits of the organisation are protected through the establishment, maintenance and continuous monitoring of effective financial controls, reporting systems, budgetary controls and expenditure procedures
? Actively participating in the integration of any acquisitions to ensure the maximum return on investment
The Successful Applicant
You will be a qualified finance professional (CA/ACA) with experience gained in an international 'people services' organisation. Comfortable working in a matrix reporting environment you will have exceptional communication skills capable of influencing and persuading at the most senior levels. You should have a proven track-record of successful team leadership and change management. This role will require a good understanding of the local regional markets and we are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with previous relevant regional experience.
? Accounting qualification and chartered status - big 4 accounting background
? Previous FD experience - preferably within Australia
? Extensive experience within this market sector
? In-depth knowledge of relevant accounting standards
? Proven abilities in financial planning, reporting and control at a senior level
? Sound financial acumen, commercial judgment and leadership abilities
? Postgraduate qualifications in business or finance preferred
