Headquartered in the United States, our client is a leading global provider of customized technology solutions and high performance materials that are used primarily in the automotive, architectural, transportation and industrial sectors. Continued growth in Asia has led to the creation of a new role, based in Shanghai.

Job Description
This is an exciting new position for a proactive lawyer to provide advice to management on legal, operational and compliance issues throughout Asia. The successful candidate will draft and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements, deliver training to business units on corporate policy and operational matters and assist management with strategic projects as needed. In addition, you will manage the company's external counsel relationship and any litigation matters in the region. You will also build strong relationships with internal clients across the business.

The Successful Applicant
Suitable candidates will be qualified lawyers from Hong Kong/Singapore/PRC with at least 8-10 years post qualification experience gained within a multinational firm or an international law firm in Asia. Those with PRC experience and additional common law or US qualification will be preferred. You should have solid general commercial experience and a working knowledge of regional regulatory matters. In addition to being a team player, you will be commercially astute and possess strong analytical, negotiation, communication and people management skills. Excellent English and Mandarin language skills (both spoken and written) are essential with additional Asian languages being advantageous.
