Our Client is welcoming the opportunity for a professional and enthusiastic Senior Building Surveyor to lead from the front and be a key initiator in the development of the Companies vision.

Job Description

As the Senior Building Surveyor you will need to:

  • Assess and determine Construction and Building applications and certificates within appropriate time frames.
  • Undertake building/construction/ site inspections as required and provide advice for the preparation, planning and development of assessment reports.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance and continuous improvement programs around building, assessment and regulatory procedures and policies
  • Provide technical and comprehensive advice to public, management and Councils on building and certification matters
  • Liaise and coordinate with other departments and statutory authorities on issues related to building, construction, certificates or legislations.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered successful for this role you will:

  • Tertiary qualification in Health and Building Surveying or other relevant construction/ building discipline.
  • You will be eligible or certified by the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors Practical experience within processing and assessing Construction, Development and Building Certificates and undertake building inspections
  • Understanding and thorough implementation of the Building Code of Australia, Local Government Act and the Environmental Planning Assessment Act.
  • Understanding and commitment to OHS and Equal employment principles
  • Leadership ability and experience in the successful management of team members within a corporate environment.

Rewarding Package - Salary $67,000 - $73,000
