About Our Client

our client are an Iconic name in the Construction Industry and Globally are one of the largest Main Contractors. They are a leading Infrastructure Services Group and are searching for a Senior Mechanical Estimator to work within their Projects Division, which is a dominant force in the Australian Market for constructing Power Stations, Petrochemical Plants and Large Industrial Plants covering Water, Fertiliser and Chemical.

Job Description

As an integral member of the Estimating team, you will be required to lead the mechanical estimating on large infrastructure projects with a particular focus on Petrochemical Plants. Other responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Ensuring Estimating plans meet budget requirements for the projects
  • Hold and chair meetings with relevant internal and external teams to obtain information for pricing – e.g. Design, Engineering
  • Mentor and assist in developing junior members of the team
  • Estimate via CANDY software

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant, above all else must have relevant experience as a Mechanical Estimator working on Large Industrial Projects. Other requirements will include:

  • Prior experience using an Estimating Software other than Microsoft Excel – Preferably CANDY, but not a pre requisite
  • Experience pricing a variety of industrial projects e.g. Water Treatment Plants, Fertiliser Plants, Power Stations

You will be working for a Global Construction Company who is a leader in the Infrastructure Market within Australia. Your passion and commitment will be rewarded with a large remuneration package – Base salary from $165,000 - $185,000 depending on experience.
