Job Description

To assist the firm's current ambitious growth plans, Ernst & Young is looking to recruit a number of high-calibre Tax Managers, Senior Managers and Directors from Australia and New Zealand to work in their UK practice. Full relocation and support, along with integration into the UK practice will be provided.

Ernst & Young's Tax practice provides tax advisory, transactions and compliance services to a variety of clients across both Financial Services (FS) and non- Financial Services markets.

The transactions team provide a wide range of consultancy services for some of the world's largest multinational institutions and corporations. Our practice is responsible for advising clients on mergers and acquisitions and a range of issues arising from these including international structuring and financing solutions

Your client responsibilities

• Build and maintain consulting tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service
• Manage the successful delivery of consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business driven approach taken
• Contribute to successfully extracting maximum value for both E&Y and clients from the tax consulting services delivered whilst managing risk appropriately for both client and EY

The Successful Applicant

For opportunities in Transactions Tax you are likely to be/have:

• Experienced tax practitioner with expertise in Transactions

• If applying for opportunities in FS, FS industry and product knowledge preferred

• Client driven and strategically and commercially aware

• Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral

•Ability to identify and manage areas of risk, know when to refer upwards, demonstrate good judgment, objectivity and independence• Develop innovative ideas and solutions
