About Our Client

Our client is a leading logistics company who are now recognised as a leader in their field. They have enjoyed substantial growth nationally and internationally and have built a significant presence across their market. They are seeking a dedicated Transport Manager to join their dynamic freight management business.

Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Transport Manager will be :

• Management of day to day linehaul & heavy haulage operations.
• Working knowledge of Local, Interstate and transport management.
• Ability and maintenance of fleet.
• Managing, and organising the Pallets and container cartage.
• Ability to oversee the cost control function and analysis.
• Supervision of full time and temporary staff.

The Successful Applicant

The successfull candidate will have experience in a Transport role with a supervisory / management role held previously. You will excellent communication skills together with a strong focus on OH & S and C & E laws. You must possess strong negotiation skills and an AQIS Accreditation with experience in a transport booking system preferred but not essential.
