About Our Client

Our client is a long established Australian owned and operated steel manufacturing business. The company specialises in the manufacturing of sheet metal building materials, including architectural cladding systems, for the residential and commercial market

Job Description

Due to business expansion, there is now an opportunity for an experienced Sales Account & Relationship Manager to join the sales management team. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Building on and maintaining client relationships
  • Delivering on exceptional customer service to ultimately achieve sales growth and increase gross profit.
  • Analysing current account relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Analysing the current distributor network and identifying how this can be strategically grown moving forward.
  • Cultural fit will be as important as the technical ability - You will be responsible for continuing to grow and nurture accounts that have been with the business for over 30 years. Behavioural questions will be a part of the Interview process

The Successful Applicant

  • 3 years + sales/account management experience within the Metal Roofing, Facade Cladding Systems or Building Industry
  • Previous experience in selling to/managing accounts within the Building Product space, ideally to roofing plumbers
  • Experience in analysing sales data and the ability to identify opportunities to grow accounts
  • Previous experience in managing distributors and educating distributors on products/services
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills - This is a values based culture and an attitude that fits this Organisation will be pivotal
  • Worked in a professional environment with systems, processes, values, ethics and able to manage yearly budgets with KPI's
  • 3 + years of technical product field sales or related account management activities.
