Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, your role will include:

  • Business partnering: meets with operational managers to explain monthly actuals vs budgets and get an understanding of drivers
  • Preparation and collation of daily, monthly and adhoc reports in a timely manner
  • Provides analysis of general ledger (balance sheet and profit and loss).
  • Investigates areas of over and underspend vs budget to ensure that items are accurately reflected in the ledger or followed up with operational managers.
  • Completion of month end and year end tasks as required (including journals, accruals, ledger reviews etc).
  • Reviews profit and loss reports and ensures all costs are allocated against the right cost centre, general ledger account or is capitalised as CAPEX.
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly, including relevant supporting document and follow-up of reconciling items.
  • Preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Capitalisation of fixed assets on a timely basis.
