Job Description

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the accounting and finance department.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Officer should have:

  • A degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices within the retail industry.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
