Job Description

  • Provide application support 4 days a week and 1 day over the weekend to ensure seamless operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Analyze logs, FIX messages, and other primary sources to determine the root cause of trading and quoting issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve system-related queries.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
  • Document support activities and maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions.
  • Assist in deploying updates and patches to applications as required.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on application usage when necessary.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of company applications and systems.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Application Support Engineer (Weekend Shift) should have:

  • 2 - 5 yr experience in application support in the financial serivices industry especially trading industry.
  • Has demonstrated proficiency with investigations related to trade execution and market data distribution processes and lifecycles.
  • Understanding of FIX protocol.
  • MetaTrader 4/5 application knowledge is preferred/desired
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP and Networking.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL (PGSQL, MYSQL).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with software applications and system monitoring tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
