Job Description
The Cost Recovery Officer will play a critical role in the cost recovery function and will assist to provide subject matter expertise on the management of revenue streams and cost recovery activities, including:
- Providing advice and assistance with the development and implementation of any new government decisions relating to cost recovery arrangements
- Assisting with developing and maintaining the activity-based management (ABM) model, preparing the cost recovery implementation statements relating to cost recovered activities
- Maintaining, delivering and reporting on the end-to-end cost recovery process, including the monthly staff survey process, activity code register and the All-Activity Funding Model (AAFM)
- Liaising and engaging with internal and external stakeholders regarding any related cost recovery matters
- Assisting with the preparation of quality policy advice, reports, briefing to various decision-making bodies, senior management and other decision makers
- Actively managing and contributing to the timely delivery of the section outcomes, within available resources
- Maintaining technical expertise and Industry knowledge by monitoring changes to ensure ongoing compliance with Australian Government Charging Framework and the Cost Recovery Guidelines for cost recovery activities
- Building and maintaining high levels of engagement with internal and external stakeholders, government agencies, industry, and other organisations
- Assisting with ad-hoc tasks as needed in accordance with cost recovery and revenue assurance work plan
The Successful Applicant
Successful Candidate
- An understanding of the Australian Government Charging Framework and Cost Recovery Guidelines
- Well-developed excel skills in activity-based costing and developing costing or pricing models
- Experience in building and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Baseline security clearance / Negative Vetting 1 (or ability to obtain)
