APS 5 Cost Recovery Officer

The Cost Recovery Officer will play a critical role in the cost recovery function and will assist to provide subject matter expertise on the management of revenue streams and cost recovery activities, including:

• Providing advice and assistance with the development and implementation of any new government decisions relating to cost recovery arrangements
• Assisting with developing and maintaining the activity-based management (ABM) model, preparing the cost recovery implementation statements relating to cost recovered activities
• Maintaining, delivering and reporting on the end-to-end cost recovery process, including the monthly staff survey process, activity code register and the All-Activity Funding Model (AAFM)
• Liaising and engaging with internal and external stakeholders regarding any related cost recovery matters
• Assisting with the preparation of quality policy advice, reports, briefing to various decision-making bodies, senior management and other decision makers
• Actively managing and contributing to the timely delivery of the section outcomes, within available resources
• Maintaining technical expertise and Industry knowledge by monitoring changes to ensure ongoing compliance with Australian Government Charging Framework and the Cost Recovery Guidelines for cost recovery activities
• Building and maintaining high levels of engagement with internal and external stakeholders, government agencies, industry, and other organisations
• Assisting with ad-hoc tasks as needed in accordance with cost recovery and revenue assurance work plan
