About Our Client
A rapidly growing and expanding property business, wholly Australian owned and backed by some of Australia's largest retail organisations. Running a large portfolio of over 40 properties and recently listing one of their entities on the ASX this role is an exciting chance to immerse yourself in a successful Australian business.
Job Description
- The full preparation of both Half-year and full-year financial statements
- Processing accounting journals and consolidation of multiple entities
- Producing daily, weekly, monthly management reports
- Maintenance of various AASB accounting schedules (share-based payments, financial instruments, swap options, investments, tax)
- Assist with Accounts Payable and maintain fixed asset register
- Preparation of monthly BAS across multiple companies
- Assist with annual tax return submission and liaise with external auditors
- Maintaining systems (Xero, Receipt Bank, ApprovalMax, Fathom Consolidation) - be involved with systems implementation and upgrade
The Successful Applicant
- Qualified or working towards CPA/CA
- Minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience - ideally in the property industry
- Experience in systems implementation and process improvement
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and hit deadlines in a fast-paced environment
