Job Description

The Assistant Financial Accountant is responsible for the following:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journals.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
  • Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely processing of accounts payable and receivable & administration tasks
  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts to support financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax preparation tasks.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the finance team.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in accounting or finance roles within the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
