With a strong pipeline of work, the business is entering its next phase of growth and is looking to bring its bookkeeping function in-house. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the accounts function and help establish processes in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Job Description

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for:

  • End-to-end weekly payroll processing
  • Managing accounts payable and aged creditors
  • Invoice processing, coding and reconciliations
  • Superannuation administration
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting data integrity
  • Managing invoice tracking and approvals
  • Supporting job costing and project-based financial tracking
  • Managing retentions
  • Assisting with BAS preparation
  • Assisting with general administration as required

The Successful Applicant

The successful Bookkeeper should have:

  • A proven track record within a similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of accountancy software
  • Exposure to construction or project-based environments (highly regarded)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and take ownership in a newly created role
  • The ability to commute to Sunnybank hills
