Job Description

  • Team Leadership - Lead, mentor, and support a team of mechanics, hire controllers, and customer service staff to ensure high performance and engagement.
  • Operational Oversight - Manage day-to-day branch operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and alignment with company procedures.
  • Customer & Sales Focus - Build strong relationships with trade, construction, and infrastructure clients, ensuring exceptional service and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Commercial Management - Monitor branch performance, apply sound pricing strategies, and drive profitability through margin control and cost awareness.
  • Asset Utilisation & ROI - Assess equipment usage and returns to maximise availability and commercial outcomes.
  • Strategic Input - Contribute to local strategy and planning while aligning with broader business goals and seasonal demand trends.



 

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven Leadership Experience - Minimum 2 years leading teams in hire, logistics, retail, or service-based environments.
  • Hands-On & Customer-Focused - Comfortable being involved in daily operations and delivering high-quality service to trade and construction clients.
  • Commercially Savvy - Understands margins, pricing, and how to assess equipment return on investment.
  • Strong Communicator & Motivator - Builds trust, sets clear expectations, and creates a positive, accountable team culture.
  • Adaptable & Solutions-Oriented - Thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal environment with varied customer needs.
  • Attitude Over Experience - Positive, driven, and ready to take ownership of the branch with long-term commitment.
