Job Description

Manage the customer relationship, initiate, follow up sales opportunities and translate activities into sustainable sales and profit. Manage and develop respective customer territory. Ensure training, structured business calls and plans are completed. Present as required to the Sales Manager on territory performance, territory plans and business development and improvement initiatives

  • To ensure financial budgets and targets are achieved as directed.
  • Coordinate and action sales activities within the designated territories and Key Account base
  • Analyse sales performance and report weekly/ monthly and forecast opportunities for company products
  • Execute account strategies based on anticipated business requirements
  • Engage with customers to update store layouts and in store relays.
  • Regularly perform in store staff training and demonstrations and document in Sales Force.
  • Attend trade events as required
  • Plan and conduct regular key customer visits and inform customers of new developments in products
  • Maintain contacts and service key accounts within a designated territory and/or customer base
  • Maintain weekly call plans, captured in Sales Force to ensure maximum service levels.
  • Complete reporting and information requests in a timely and professional manner including Salesforce CRM
  • Identify and action potential sales leads
  • Identify projects and filter information to key distributors and end users

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree qualified in Business, Construction, or relevant trades experience
  • Successful track record of gaining new business within the construction industry
  • Background in sealants and adhesives is preferred
  • MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to prospect, research, connect and develop relationships across a broad range of construction industry stakeholders
  • Customer focused with an ability to analyse data and make commercial decisions
  • SAP system knowledge and experience desirable
  • Salesforce CRM or equivalent experience
  • High attention to detail
