- Be the key driver in new business development activities conduit between the engineering and sales functions to effectively service the customer and ensure delivery.
- Engage with the customer to ensure that best practice is followed when it comes to qualifying the scope or work, level of commitment, prioritisation of pipeline of work.
- Manage both internal and external stakeholders to ensure opportunities are appropriately qualified and prioritised.
- Engaging the customer (in conjunction with the technical team) to fully scope the opportunity and ensure an appropriate solution is provided.
- Achieve sales budgets/targets.
The Successful Applicant
You will have a passion for pursuing new business development opportunities in the project space, with a strong understanding on how to influence various stakeholders to achieve a desired outcome. Coming from a strong Technology or Communications sales background coupled with a Mining network is critical.
- Technical sales background (satellite or networking) with customer facing experience working in a solutions environment.
- Direct network in the mining sector with key decision makers for both pre- and post-project. Demonstrated ability to engage customers whether in a sales, account management or technical capacity is critical within the Mining sector.
