Job Description

As the Account and Business Development Manager based in NSW, your role is pivotal in growing the market share of their Engineered Building Product range within the defined region. Being an integral team member with an aim to contribute to the development and profitable growth and market share of the APAC Building Supply merchant channel, ensuring customer relationships and integrity is maximised. As well as:

  • Hunt out, pursue, build, and improve existing and new relationships with merchant clients and their trade partners
  • Create opportunities and new relationships with customers who would value our Engineered Building Product offering
  • Identify potential opportunities for increased service offering and increasing revenue
  • Work and co-ordinate, with other internal customer teams to maximise the level of service to our customers and meet their growing needs
  • Make a difference with their clients



The Successful Applicant

  • Qualifications in a Technical Business degree or a trade related certificate, or equivalent experience
  • Account management experience combined with a proven sales background within the building industry or related trades
  • Experience hunting for new business opportunities within set region
  • Having a background in selling construction products or has a technical understanding of house construction
  • Demonstrating a good understanding of the building industry and merchandising
  • Established history of growing the business
  • MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or Salesforce
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, appropriate up to senior merchant management level
  • Ability to prospect, research, connect and develop relationships
  • Customer focused with an ability to analyse data and deliver the right solutions with professional integrity
  • Strong negotiation capabilities with a results-driven mentality
  • A growth mind-set
  • Willingness for possible inter-state travel requirements if necessary
