Job Description

Key responsibilities of a Business Development Manager include:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the insurance industry
  • Proactively identify and acquire new clients, focusing on non-technology areas such as underwriting, policies, claims billing, and tech services
  • Expand opportunities with existing clients, ensuring long-term partnerships
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and performance reports
  • Participate in networking events and industry conferences
  • Operate independently, taking ownership of sales strategies and execution in Australia

The Successful Applicant

The successful Business Development Manager should have:

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management.
  • A strong track record of selling to large insurance businesses.
  • Established network within the Australian insurance industry.
  • Take ownership of your role in a dynamic, fast-growing environment, allowing you to shape strategies and drive success.
  • Thrive with adaptability, collaboration, integrity, and a strong sense of ownership in a high-impact role.
  • Hybrid role with a Sydney CBD office location
