Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives within the FMCG sector.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prominent retailers and distriburtors in the region.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with account managers/sales managers to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Analyse sales data and generate reports to track performance and identify growth areas.
  • Deliver presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty
  • Communicate strategic direction to distributors, including promotions and executional tactics.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Business Development Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in Business Development , preferably within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies and market analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and sales software.
  • Operate with a startup mindset and a willingness to "roll up their sleeves."
  • Identify market opportunities and demonstrate strong entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Navigate ambiguity and build strong relationships with retailers and distributors.
  • Understanding of diverse cultures and able to communicate across different backgrounds.
  • Eyes and boots on the ground for the organization.
  • Self driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
  • A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel internationally as required.
