Are you an experienced professional in the insurance industry looking for a temporary opportunity in Melbourne? We are seeking a Claims portfolio manager and Senior Claims Specialist to manage claims effectively and provide expert support in a fast-paced environment.
  • 3 Month contract with possibility of extension

Job Description

  • Manage a portfolio of claims from initiation to resolution.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on claims management processes.
  • Review and assess claims documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve efficient outcomes.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for claims decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity in claims systems.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with claims processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Claims Specialist or Portfolio Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in end to end claims management within the medical indemnity industry.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant insurance policies, regulations and legal framework.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using claims management systems and software.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Hourly rate of $57 - $63 ph for the claims specialist role and $70 - $80 ph for the portfolio manager role.
