Within this QLD Gov Department, you will be contributing to the development and sustainment of key technologies supporting water resource management. In this diverse and fast paced role, you will provide a high-level of expertise in the management and technical support of enterprise cloud infrastructure, compute, database, and application platforms that directly support the water resource initiatives

Job Description

Key Duties and Accountabilities· Primarily undertakes day-to-day operational support, including monitoring, provisioning, remediation and support of Cloud environments (primarily relating to DLGWV's WaterIQ solution).

· Report and recommend appropriate service improvements and participate in the migration of business systems off on-premises infrastructure to cloud solutions.

· Administration of Dynamics 365, Power Platform infrastructure and other relevant third-party cloud solutions.

· Perform high level administration of cloud-based (IaaS and PaaS) Azure environments using a web portal and via PowerShell/CLI/Python commands.

· Contribute towards automated and repeatable development practices by leveraging existing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technology.

· Promote and participate in the change towards a "DevSecOps" style cooperative working model.

· Prepare and maintain systems documentation in accordance with quality management system requirements and to support good operational practices.

· Liaise with clients, giving timely and detailed verbal and written advice as required on Azure cloud services.

· Undertake analysis of emerging technologies and make recommendations as to the applicability for inclusion in the technical and security architecture.

· Apply structured problem-solving strategies and techniques to identify, analyse, evaluate and implement solutions.

· Demonstrate commitment to contemporary standards of ethical practice, a safe workplace, equity, and diversity.

· Demonstrate personal qualities that contribute to the effective operation of a team.

The Successful Applicant

Role requirements

· While not mandatory, experience and understanding in the below would be favourable:

- Sound knowledge of the enterprise ICT environment

- Sound knowledge of public cloud related concepts and prior experience administering Microsoft Cloud Platforms, including Azure, Azure AD, Azure AD B2C, Power Platform, Azure DevOps and Power BI.

- Prior experience with deploying infrastructure as code and utilising scripting languages.

- Prior experience with reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements to better align to ITP cloud standards and industry best practices.

· Highly desirable experience and understanding in:

- Experience with Azure B2C authentication flows and custom policies.

- Experience with API infrastructure, including Azure API Management and API security.

- Experience with maintaining and managing data pipelines.

- Relevant IT qualifications/certifications.

- Database Administration experience with Azure SQL and Snowflake.

- Experience in the administration of Informatica and establishment of Role Based Access Control (RBAC) frameworks.

- Experience in networking/security/firewalls.
