Job Description

The Commercial Business Partner Reporting and Grants will lead on-

  • Assist the Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting Manager in the coordination and alignment of the Business Planning and Budget Processes.
  • Assist in developing and coordinating the annual budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
  • Support the manager during the budget process and provide advice and assistance in setting budget/forecast cycles.
  • Prepare financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate financial feasibility of projects and investments.
  • Monthly monitoring, analysis and reporting. Track, review and report monthly financial performance of all grants to ensure alignment with approved budgets/forecasts and highlight areas of improvement
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of all grants at account level, ensuring all discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly
  • Interpret financial data and communicate findings effectively to non-financial stakeholders
  • Ensure the timely completion of financial reports required by Government Agencies that are associated with contracts for the delivery of services.
  • Assist in the preparation of regular reports on the status of the budget/forecast to the Board and Senior Management.
  • Forecasting and cash flow management
  • Strategic Planning and Decision Support. Partner with relevant stakeholders to develop and review business cases for new grant/tender proposals to support investment decision making that is strategically aligned and financially sound.
  • Continuous improvement and change management. Continually review and improve the planning, budgeting and reporting processes and systems to support best practice in these activities.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders in all aspects around the management of all grants received

The Successful Applicant

  • CA/CPA Qualified or studying towards
  • Demonstrated experience in business and financial planning, budgeting and forecasting in a multi-faceted business organisation.
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical skills particularly in the interpretation, analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proven experience in translating complex data into clear and accurate analytical reports that convey complex strategic concepts tailored to the stakeholders.
  • Developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with stakeholders, maximise the opportunity to partner and translate analysis to ensure maximum organisational benefit as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience and understanding of government policies and processes, particularly in relation to funding submission applications.

What's on Offer

The Commercial Business Partner - Reporting and Grants- Part time 0.6 FTE role will be located in the Northern Suburbs. The ideal candidate will be online with the business between Monday-Wednesday, however flexible working will be available. The salary will be circa $115k + super (0.6 FTE)
