A proud local Australian business, our client is a market-leader within their respective industry. Due to company growth and winning new contracts, the team is now looking to strengthen its commercial and contracts team with this new Commercial Manager - Finance role.

Job Description

Reporting into the CFO, the key scope of this role will include:

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate financial reports and analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to drive business performance.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment between financial goals and operational strategies.
  • Provide insights into financial performance by analysing key metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Oversee cost control measures and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Managing contracts, ensuring accuracy of terms and commercial strength.
  • Running bids & tendering process.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Support the leadership team with strategic financial planning and advice.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team to achieve organisational goals.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will possess the following traits:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CA).
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and influence decision-making.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial challenges and opportunities.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of developing and managing teams effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
