Job Description

Key Accountabilities include:

Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute a corporate communications and PR strategy, aligning with key members of the team from across the business, to meet business goals
  • Analyse and adjust activity as necessary

Industry Brand Communications

  • Thought leadership content development for key health and retail industry publications
  • Regular trade advertising in alignment with corporate and customer calendar
  • Development and distribution of trade media releases

Prospect Communications (Network Growth)

  • Develop and maintain communications to prospect pharmacies (including eDM, printed material) Quarterly email newsletter to existing email database of prospects
  • Assist with prospecting events such as APP (national pharmacy industry event)
  • Webinar development in partnership with Store Development team

Social and Digital Management

  • Develop and execute content for LinkedIn and website (including copywriting, and development of rich media in partnership with internal studio)

Consumer Brand Public Relations

  • Developing relevant and compelling content for key customer campaigns throughout the year (such as vaccination leadership, new digital initiatives)

Charity Relationships

  • Management of relationship with key charity partners - Ovarian Cancer Australia The Jodi Lee Foundation, and leading annual campaigns to support awareness building and fundraising

Internal communications

  • Lead role in monthly Connect Live event, which celebrates performance, new initiatives and team (developing content)
  • Weekly internal updates: Trade Meeting, PR/Comms WIP, Marketing WIP, Media Wrap
  • Deliver network partner updates (e.g. vaccinations) and quarterly wrap up communication celebrating company successes

Corporate Governance

  • Point of contact for EBOS Corporate Communication approvals

Agency Management

  • Develop a positive working relationship with external PR agency, gaining their strategic input into the business and support with campaign execution
  • Develop B2B brand campaigns with external creative and advertising agency
  • Support the agencies to execute exceptional campaigns, including briefing, project management, WIP meetings, and KPIs

Budget Management

  • Manage the annual corporate communications budget

Team Relationships

  • Develop strong and proactive relationships with the Leadership Team to ensure messaging is appropriate
  • Work alongside the brand, digital and internal studio teams to develop and execute campaigns
  • Leverage expertise of the Health and Category Teams for content
  • Work alongside the Operations team to garner network partner engagement for content and PR opportunities


  • Meet key PR KPIs of reach, prominence, dominance, and frequency
  • Ensure all communications meet legal guidelines

Skills & Attributes
* Exceptional copywriting skills, and ability to adapt style to audience and channel
* Exceptional stakeholder management at a senior level
* Ability to influence, lead and excite others around a common agenda
* Well accustomed to working under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment
* Ability to recognise business development opportunities and provide innovative solutions
* Assertive self-starter and goal driven to achieve at a high level consistently
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent presentation skills
* Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to exercise judgement and show initiative
* Project management skills
* Excellent attention to detail

Experience & Qualifications
* Experience as corporate communications lead / or agency background
* Tertiary qualification in marketing/communications/public relations
* Experience within a franchise environment
* Previous experience in similar role
