Job Description

  • Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyse large datasets, detect patterns and anomalies, and build predictive models that optimise mining operations and equipment performance
  • Translate complex, multi-source data into clear trends, insights, and recommendations that drive informed, data-backed business decisions
  • Design and develop data models, algorithms, and analytics solutions to address operational and strategic business challenges
  • Collaborate with ML Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Platform teams, and mining experts to deliver scalable data solutions and enhance asset efficiency
  • Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and adoption of data-driven actions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by adopting industry best practices in AI, machine learning, and analytics, and supporting a culture of innovation

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Analyst should have:

  • A strong background in Data Analysis
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Python, or R.
  • Experience in creating data visualisations and dashboards. (Power BI, Data Factory)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and be autonomous where needed
  • Strong communication skills to present insights effectively
