About Our Client

  • Design & Develop Data Architecture:
    • Architect and implement scalable, high-performance data models and solutions to support educational data needs.
    • Create and maintain data models (relational, NoSQL, and data warehousing solutions) for student, academic, financial, and operational data.
  • Data Integration & ETL:
    • Design and build efficient ETL pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources, including student information systems, learning management systems, and external data providers.
    • Manage data flow and ensure timely, accurate data processing.
  • Data Governance & Security:
    • Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulations (e.g., FERPA).
    • Implement data security practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance with data privacy laws.
  • Cloud & On-Premises Solutions:
    • Implement and manage cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for scalable data storage and analytics.
    • Design data architectures to support both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Work with faculty, administrators, and IT teams to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable architectural solutions.
    • Support the development of reporting, BI, and analytics tools to inform strategic decisions at all levels of the organisation.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices in data architecture and education technology.
    • Provide recommendations for optimising data processes and improving data-driven decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and database management (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with data warehousing and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Expertise in cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with education data systems (e.g., Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems).
  • Strong knowledge of data security practices, privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA), and data governance.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
