Our client is a leading chemical distribution business, specialising in providing access to high quality chemicals and ingredients.

Job Description

The Demand Planner will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasting models based on historical data, industry trends, and customer input.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Distribution teams to gather and analyse data on market trends, customer demand, and product performance.
  • Use statistical analysis tools to generate accurate demand forecasts and identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain.
  • Develop inventory strategies to optimise stock levels and minimise stock outs and excess inventory.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to demand planning, inventory levels, and customer service.
  • Identify and communicate potential issues or opportunities to management and other stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

The Demand Planner will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using statistical analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience using ERPs (SAP experience essential)
