About Our Client

Our client has an immediate need for a Desktop Support individual to join their team on a three-month contract. They are looking for someone with a passion for customer service and excellent technical support skills.

Job Description

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring of service desk tickets assigned to the queue and process on priority and agreed SLAs
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues over the phone and in person
  • Providing IT support to all staff
  • Coordination of staff on boarding and off boarding processes
  • Accurate problem resolution with thorough and clear documentation
  • Assist with training in relation to various software applications, user manuals and procedures
  • Escalation of high-risk incidents as appropriate
  • Attending to requests from users, both internal and external in a professional and friendly manner
  • Responsible for placing equipment orders, track delivery and licensing, validate licensing and inventories of IT equipment

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will ideally possess the following:

  • IT related degree qualification
  • ITIL Certified
  • Previous experience in a Desktop support position
  • Strong experience with Wintel, Active Directory, Group Policy and Office 365
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Bright personality with attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously

What's on Offer

On offer is a three month contract with a local city council and an attractive hourly rate.
