With an increase in projects and development opportunities the company is now seeking to employ a Development Manager to assist in the management of new, high profile, developments.

Job Description

Role Requirements:

  • Leadership for the overall project and the project team
  • Liaising, developing, and maintaining relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including authorities and the community including local government authorities
  • Manage Project design & approval process
  • Preparation and management of Project development briefs, formulation of project strategies and options
  • Managing the marketing, sales, and legal process
  • Providing professional and accurate project updates, preparation of feasibilities, forecasts and cashflows including completion of project and stakeholder reporting and meetings
  • Leading the completion of project/s to meet the company's vision, brand, and key agreed commercial outcomes
  • Ensure planning and development approvals are achieved in accordance with feasibility, program, and project brief
  • The appointment and management of consultants ensuring compliance with applicable internal and regulatory processes and reporting requirements
  • Liaising and developing commercial relationships with external parties, including architects to keep abreast of current market activity and trends
  • Promote a culture of integrity and professionalism by managing & mentoring the team

The Successful Applicant

Candidate Requirements:

  • Driven, self-motivated and able to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Strong leadership skills within both internal and external stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrated experience working on small to medium sized commercial &/or residential / town house development projects from approval through to completion stage and meeting required outcomes
  • Have an extensive network within the development industry
  • Ability to manage stakeholders throughout every stage of the process
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the role of Development Manager or similar and leading a project team
  • Solid understanding of Development Management principles including budgets and programmes
  • Tertiary qualification in property development, business, architecture, construction, or related degree.
  • High attention to detail and working to tight timelines in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
